As I write, a massive worldwide hacking campaign is underway against websites running the Joomla CMS.

A little over a week ago, a critical security hole was discovered in all versions of Joomla. An upgrade was very quickly released for the latest versions of Joomla, and a patch was released for all previous versions.

But if you haven't installed these, it's probably only a matter of time before your website is hacked.

Following on from the success of the LinkedIn group, we've just launched a new Facebook group, Gloucestershire E-commerce, to help local companies to share tips and advice for improving sales in their online shops.

A lot of companies like to explain about what they do that's "different". Some even go as far as explaining "how" they do things that makes them different.

But I thought I'd take it a bit further and explain WHY we're different. What drives us, and what's our passion?

Design is critically import for your online shop, but what actually makes a good design?

It's not about being different, or having a fancy, impressive design. Quite the opposite in fact.

Have you noticed those adverts that seem to know exactly what you've been looking at?

You look at some products online, and a few hours or days later, you notice adverts for those exact products at the exact same online shops that you were visiting. It's scary when you first see it.
